Yesterday ECM won the ‘Carrier of the Year 2016’ award at the fifth Automotive Global Awards for Supply Chain, one of 18 who recieved one. This award reflects the high quality and service levels, that ECM has provided to its customers in 2016. ECM’s has an average delivery on-time KPI greater than 97% and a transit damage of lower than 0.5%.
General Services Director, John Hope, collected the award. He said “I am thankful for of all the hardwork that everyone has put in at ECM. There have been some great innovations this year, particularly with training. We are going to proudly take this award back to Carlisle to let them know how we have done”.
ECM has managed to increase its number of drivers by 39 and has one of the lowest driver turnovers in the UK, despite UK driver shortages. This is due to their “Recruit Retain & Respect Programme”, which aims to make ECM one of the best logistics firms to work at in the UK.
