Automotive Supply Chain Global Awards 2015

12th November 2015, London

ECM (Vehicle Delivery Service) Ltd. was the proud recipient of the “IT Innovation” Award at the fourth Automotive Supply Chain Global Awards. Held in London with nearly 200 guests in attendance, ECM was announced as the company which had demonstrated the ability to innovate and recognise ground-breaking technology, design and service where technological innovation has led to meaningful solutions for the automotive industry.

Delivering in excess of 1.2 million cars per annum to over 3500 customer consignee addresses spread throughout the UK, ECM instigated three ground-breaking IT Infrastructure changes over the previous year to revolutionise its operations.

  • High Availability Disaster Recovery – a solution enabling ECM to recover its core systems within 30 minutes following a disaster
  • Driver Information System – implementation of a smartphone-based Driver Information System
  • Technology and the Environment – creation of a ‘Fleet Analysis Team’ whose objective is to reduce fuel consumption and Co2 by using cutting edge Telematics and Tracking technology

ECM faced tough competition from fellow nominees, and on hearing of its win said, “IT Innovation will never stand still, the completion of one project is merely the opening of a door to the next”.

ECM was one of 19 companies and individuals rewarded for having achieved extraordinary success or for having pioneered a new way of thinking or working.
